Rainbow Mountain on ATVs is another innovative and recent adventure option, the second most visited place after Machu Picchu. It offers multicolored landscapes and mysterious mountains, blending into the snowy peaks and deep valleys, with Andean animals and camelids, such as alpacas, llamas, guanacos, sheep, and horses. If we’re lucky, we’ll see vicuñas and deer. Along the way, we’ll also get very close to the APU AUSANGATE SNOW MOUNTAIN, and next to it, the RED MOUNTAIN.
After arriving at the car park, we will reach the main Rainbow Mountain at 5,036 meters above sea level. The return trip will be just a 1-hour descent to reach the vehicle parking lot.
ITINERARY:
RAINBOW MOUNTAIN WITH ATVS, 1 DAY.
Cusco – Cusipata – Pitumarca – Vehicle Parking – Rainbow Mountain.
The adventure begins with the following options or times:
3:00 a.m., 4:00 a.m., 6:00 a.m., 8:30 a.m.
With pick-up from your respective hotels, we will then begin the journey to the southern part of Cusco, a 7-hour round-trip bus ride from Cusco / Cusipata / Pitumarca / Car Parking / Pitumarca / Cusipata / Cusco.
From Cusco to the small town of Cusipata, it will be 2 hours 30 minutes, where we will enjoy a delicious typical buffet breakfast, then we will board our bus, again for 1 hour 30 minutes to reach the car parking lot, then we will start with the instructions of our guide, to get ready with safety clothing, helmets, hand gloves, clothing suitable for ATVs, hiking shoes, and others, training and practice on ATVs, to start the round trip, uphill to arrive at the Rainbow Mountain, from where you will have only 7 minutes walk to Apu Winicunca Hill at 5,036 meters above sea level, top of the mysterious rainbow mountain, also from this point we can appreciate the sacred snow-covered mountain of Apu Ausangate, since Inca times and the mysterious Red Mountain, a place where we will take time to take videos and photographs, for the memory, of wonderful and beautiful landscapes of multicolored mountains, finally We will board our ATVs and begin the descent with our guide to the parking lot. We will then begin the return bus trip, stopping 1 hour and 30 minutes away in the small town of Cusipata for our delicious and restorative buffet lunch. We will then board our bus, which will take us back to Cusco, arriving at approximately 5:30 p.m.
